Understanding Industrial Concerns

When I started working for my parents factory about twenty years ago, I didn't think twice about any of the factory problems. I just figured that we would be able to make things work by taking things day by day, but that only worked for so long. Pretty soon, we found ourselves struggling with things like lawsuits, and I knew that we had to make some changes. We started overhauling our practices and it made a tremendous difference. This blog is here for any business owner that needs to understand and resolve industrial safety concerns--before they harm employees or run your finances into the ground.

How To Assemble A PTFE Hose

When assembling a PFTE hose in your vehicle, the first thing you want to do is drain the fuel. Open the fuel near the fuel regulator, out a pan under it, and the fuel will drain into a pan. Remove the hoses that are leaking, and mark which side they each go on so you do not get them mixed up. Take your PTFE hose and put the collar on first. You want to push it on and use some aluminum jaws to clamp to the collar and push it on about an inch. Take an x-acto knife and pull the stainless steel braid slightly away from the Teflon and push the olive fitting between them. Teflon has no elastic nature to it so it can be a little difficult, but it will stay the way you need it to once you are finish. Put your collar on the olive once you are finished. Use the aluminum jaws again to pull the collar up to the fitting. You want the fitting to be hand tight, not any tighter. Once you have finished that, measure it against the old PTFE hose that you removed from the vehicle to cut it to length. Now you are ready to put the other end on the same way, and put it on the vehicle.
